Roger Williams University is seeking a dynamic Associate Director of Freshman
Admissions (ADFA) who will be responsible for the development and implementation of
the domestic, freshmen recruitment plan, which results in qualified first year student
candidates. The recruitment plan incorporates identification of targeted markets,
establishment of acceptance policies, and assessment of trends and benchmarking as it
relates to the comprehensive enrollment program. In addition, the ADFA will assist with

North Country Community College seeks two full-time, 221 days (twelve months) obligation, Enrollment & Financial Aid Counselors to join the Division of Enrollment Management. This individual will work out of an office in Central Boston with administrative support. Reporting to the Director of Recruitment, the successful candidate will recruit and select new BFA students for the Art Institute of Boston at Lesley University. She/he will travel locally and nationally to attend portfolio day programs and visit high schools and community colleges. This person will also assist in the formulation of the office's fall and spring recruitment plans, and will be responsible for meeting recruitment goals for a specified geographic territory. He/she will communicate actively with prospective students through email and telephone contacts. This person will help identify high schools and community colleges with strong art departments, will help organize an art teacher database, and will develop collaborative relationships with art teachers and school counselors. She/he will conduct portfolio reviews and interview students on and off campus. This person will review applications for admission as a member of AIB's Admission Committee. He/she will serve as ''Applicant Advocate'' to select students applying to AIB to communicate about application status, to facilitate connections to members of the AIB community and to answer general questions. This person will act as liaison with the Lesley University Athletic Department. She/he will help to plan and will attend Admission Office on-campus recruitment events.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS:
A Bachelor's of Fine Arts Degree, a Bachelor's Degree in Art or a Bachelor's degree in another field with a corresponding strong art background are required. Strong interpersonal, communication and public speaking skills; an interest in counseling and teaching high school and transfer students; energy, enthusiasm and humor are all required. Candidates must possess organizational, time-management and decision-making skills; and must be able to work independently. Successful candidates must possess a valid driver's license and be willing and able to travel, often using their own transportation. Two years of prior experience working in a college admission or comparable office is desired. Working knowledge of MS Office-based programs, spreadsheet, and database management systems (i.e., Colleague/Datatel) software is desirable. Knowledge of art school admission office work, the art school environment and careers in the visual arts is also desired.

Basic Function
Oversee daily operations in WPI’s Graduate Admissions Office and work closely with Vice President for Enrollment Management, Dean of Graduate Studies and Director of Undergraduate Admissions to meet graduate recruitment and enrollment goals. Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate marketing strategies and programs. Responsible for overall program administration, financial management, and staff management within the Graduate Admissions Office.


Principal Duties & Responsibilities
-Oversee the management of graduate program inquiries, applications, admissions, and retention in close cooperation with the Provost and graduate faculty coordinators.
-Manage the Graduate Admissions professional and support staff.
-Develop and manage the annual GSE operating budget, in collaboration with the Vice President for Enrollment Management.
-In conjunction with the Dean of Graduate Studies and the VP for Enrollment Management, develop and execute an annual marketing plan for Graduate Admissions to support the growth of WPI’s graduate programs. Coordinate activities with WPI’s Marketing & Communications Department.
-Oversee the annual production of the graduate catalog and the continuous update of the Graduate Admissions website.
-Prepare data for annual surveys including U.S.News and World Reports, Council of Graduate Schools, Peterson’s Guides, etc.
-Manage the annual promotion, selection and awarding of graduate fellowships. Provide administrative support to the faculty in recruiting qualified students for funding opportunities. Administer the Backlin Fund.
-Create strong working relationship with Corporate and Professional Education staff and with Graduate Management staff to maximize recruitment and enrollment growth, especially for part-time students.
-Oversee all graduate recruiting events (information sessions, corporate fairs, forums, corporate outreach). Represent WPI at key recruitment events and give presentations to prospective students as well as other constituencies as needed.
-Work with the Registrar, Provost’s Office, and CCC to develop and maintain accurate management information systems for graduate admissions and retention functions. Keep administration and faculty informed of trends through tracking and reporting of appropriate statistical data.
-Attend and represent WPI at appropriate professional events and conferences.
-Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with professional associations and other external groups for the purpose of promoting WPI and its graduate endeavors.
-Other responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements
-Master's Degree with minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible administrative experience in a college or university setting.
-Familiarity with the needs and issues related to both part time and full time, domestic and international graduate student populations.
-Demonstrated ability to successfully manage and market a wide variety of academic programs.
-Experience working effectively with administrators, faculty and students and with external constituents to develop educational programs in response to market needs.
-Solid understanding of higher education policies and practices.
-Proven success building productive relationships within and beyond the university.
-Able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
-Excellent organization, communication and management skills plus a strong attention to detail and deadlines.

Cushing Academy, a culturally diverse residential boarding school in Ashburnham, Massachusetts, seeks an experienced admission professional for the position of Director of Admission and Financial Aid. The Director will oversee personnel and day-to-day operations and admissions, including candidate recruitment, application assessment, research and planning, financial aid allocation, budget management and other recruitment initiatives.

Reporting to the Assistant Head of School, the Director of Admission and Financial Aid will oversee a staff of five professional and support staff and is responsible for initiating and leading a comprehensive and strategic enrollment program. The successful candidate will have significant admission and marketing experience, be familiar with independent schools, and possess the ability to execute a complete program of admission and marketing. Strong leadership and management skills; excellent analytical and communication skills; the ability to collaborate effectively with others; and the ability to train, develop, motivate and mentor an admissions team are critical. The Director of Admission and Financial Aid serves on various school committees and will represent Cushing Academy at events and meetings on and off campus, and will stay abreast of trends in independent school education and the recruitment marketplace. The ideal candidate should have the ability to serve as an articulate spokesperson for the mission and values of the Academy. The position begins July 2008.

Bachelor’s degree is required; a master’s degree preferred. College admission experience also preferred. Periods of intensive travel, including weekends and evenings required.
