The Associate Director position involves a wide range of admission activities to coordinate and oversee one or more primary or specialized functions of the Admissions Office. This person will interview students, review applications and assist the Dean of Admission with all aspects of admissions planning and office management. The Associate Director will oversee the management of recruitment efforts for assigned geographic territories and will organize and implement on and off campus recruitment programs, as well as assist in coordinating admissions publications and correspondence. Specific areas of responsibility will be discussed with the Dean. This person will also work as a team member to assist with leadership and supervision of the Office of Admission, as well as assist the Dean with hiring and development, implementation and updating of operating procedures, training, etc.
The successful candidate will have four or more year’s relevant experience in college or university admissions, significant supervisory and leadership experience, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. A Bachelor’s degree is required; masters preferred, along with excellent PC skills, organizational skills, good judgment and problem solving skills, presentation skills, and experience working with Admission technology. The successful candidate must have a valid driver’s license and have the ability to work nights and weekends during peak periods.

A bachelor’s degree and demonstrated progressively responsible leadership experience in higher education admissions and/or enrollment management are required. An understanding of net tuition revenue, predictive modeling, and adult education along with evidence of strong communication and relationship-building skills, analytical ability, and familiarity with current technology utilized in the development and execution of comprehensive marketing and recruitment plans are key components for success. Demonstrated experience reflecting a successful record of leadership; strategic planning, implementation, and goal attainment; team building; and general management (staff supervision, policy development, and fiscal management) will also be important criteria in the selection of the next Dean of Enrollment Management.

Randolph College seeks an experienced and innovative admissions professional for the position of Vice President for Enrollment Management. For over 115 years Randolph College was known as Randolph-Macon Woman’s College, one of the South’s top institutions for women. The new Vice President will ideally possess expertise in developing and implementing strategies for marketing and outreach to students, including international, transfer, and graduate students, with a successful record of administration in short and long range planning, budgeting, and program development, and with knowledge of strategic enrollment management that includes retention planning. Candidates must possess a master’s degree and a minimum of seven years of progressively responsible experience in managing a complex higher education recruitment and admissions program. Superior analytical ability; demonstrated knowledge of targeted marketing, geo-demography, predictive modeling, and net tuition revenue; success using integrated technology-based information systems, CRM tools, and document imaging; and proven ability to lead the staff and practice of a high volume admissions organization are required. A hands-on management style coupled with the ability to train, develop, motivate, and mentor staff; expertise in facilitating organizational development and change; competency in building and analyzing recruitment-related data and assessing programming activities; a strong understanding of the innovative uses of technology in the recruitment process; experience working with diverse populations; creativity, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with student financial services and other offices within the enrollment division; and strong budget oversight skills will be essential for the new Dean of Admissions.
