President's Message
Greetings! On behalf of the New England Association for College Admission Counseling (NEACAC), I welcome you to our website. The NEACAC membership is as diverse as the students we serve. Hailing from all six New England states and beyond, our over 3600 members represent high schools and colleges large and small, public and private, religious and secular. Our vast membership also includes independent counselors, community-based organizations, and the many other constituencies who aid in guiding students through the transition from high school to college. Together, we are one of the largest of the 23 state and regional affiliates of the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC). NEACAC’s purpose is, “to establish and maintain high professional standards in admissions, financial aid counseling and guidance at secondary schools, college and universities.” Each year we look to put this purpose in action by developing programs and services to help our members to grow professionally and better serve students. Through communication and collaboration we become stronger and seek a better understanding of the issues and challenges at hand. Ethically, we look to NACAC’s Statement of Principles of Good Practice to guide our work. This year, as President, I am honored to support the work of the leaders on our Governing Board and within our committees. Thank you, to this fine group of professionals who work hard to bring programs and services to our membership across the region. Click here to learn more about upcoming programs and to register for one. If you’d like to learn more about a particular committee or how to join one, click here. Otherwise, please feel free to explore the website and be sure to return often to take full advantage of what we have to offer. In 1966 NEACAC was created by members for members, and continues to be just that. If you have yet to get join us or get involved, we welcome you to do so now. If you have questions or suggestions about how we can continue to improve, please don’t hesitate to let me know. Warmest regards,
