Program Description: You’ve made
it through the beginning of school, midterms, early applications, and PSAT
s. You might be close to finishing up with seniors and already thinking abo
ut your juniors. It's time to reflect and reset. Join us for an hour of min
dful reflection and a review of helpful practices to take you forward and t
o help with the stress of our jobs. We’ll also explore what it really means
to practice self-care during a pandemic.
Expect To: Gather with a group of li
ke-minded counselors who feel the need to shake off the winter blues, and g
et excited about working with the next graduating class.
Discuss
strong>the challenges of the sudden pivot to getting to know juniors, their
families, and shaping their college search and application process from th
e start. Share common concerns. Participate in a mindfulness practice for educators led by a deeply experienced prac
titioner (see bio here) and t
ake away practices to share with your stressed out students. Final
ly, contribute to the take-away bucket of best practices f
or resetting, reflecting, and keeping calm!
