Category: Summer PD Program

Elements of the program include:

  • Keynote Address by Richard Weissbourd, member of the Making Caring Common project at the Harvard Graduate School of Education and a co-author of Turning the Tide: Inspiring Concern For Others And The Common Good Through College Admissions
  • Panel of Admissions Officers at Trinity College (CT), Goucher College (MD), and Minerva University (the World) who are creating new ways of evaluating students beyond the numbers
  • Workshops on conflict management in the workplace and beyond
  • Breakout sessions on organized athletic recruiting, diversity movements on college campuses, financially intelligent college searches, and mindful college lists
  • Tours of Wellesley University, Brandeis University, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology
  • A FREE pre-conference tour of The Colleges of the Fenway on July 12th
  • Time to socialize, brainstorm and relax with colleagues who understand the complexity of our profession

After registering, you will be asked to write about your questions and goals for the conference. What do you see as the biggest problems or potential solutions? We will be welcoming experienced professionals from both sides of the desk to address the topics (and even pose new ones!) that you have proposed.

Attendees are encouraged, but not required, to read Frank Bruni’s Where You Go Is Not Who You’ll Be as a philosophical approach to our topic.
