NEW! Coffee with Counselors

As we continue to navigate the shifting landscape of college admission together, the NEACAC Professional Development Committee is excited to share a new, free webinar series: Coffee with Counselors, aimed at bringing admission leaders from higher ed. together with colleagues on the high school side to share real-time advice in support of students.

  • Webinar #1, on Testing Policies, will be Tuesday, October 21st, at 9:00am.
  • Webinar #2, on Holistic Admissions, will be Tuesday, November 18th, at 9:00am.
  • Webinar #3, on Last-Minute Advice for the Regular Decision Round, will be Tuesday, December 16th, at 9:00am.

Last-Minute Advice for the Regular Decision Round

While Early Decision and Early Action applications dominate much of the fall conversation, Regular Decision remains a critical pathway for the majority of college-bound students—and it deserves our renewed attention.

We hope you can join our next "Coffee with Counselors" webinar on December 16th at 9:00am featuring Christina Berardi (Salve Regina), John McEachern (Boston University), and Emily Petersell (Connecticut College) as they share their perspectives on what makes Regular Decision applicants compelling, how they build their incoming classes during this pivotal round, and how counselors can help  students stand out in a crowded applicant pool.

In a unique cycle this year, our conversation will give counselors some practical next steps, whether this is your first or 30th year in the field.
